This curated short-form generative art project is hand-coded and explores how we as humans value things that are "hand-made". Given two identical fashion pieces, knowing that one of them has been hand-made, hand-sewn or hand-painted gives it value, maybe because of the time and effort that another human has put into it. This collection explores if the same applies for digital fashion.
Do we value "hand-coded" pieces, pieces that just as well could have been made in AI or with AI-assisted coding, by virtue of knowing that these pieces have been meticulously hand-coded?
The faces in each piece are a comment to the human sacrifice that underlines this value. Behind each hand-made piece lies an implicit sacrifice in time and effort from another human, which gives the piece its value.
