I sank into the snow on the hillside, watching the aurora dance and tear across the heavens. My grandmother stood beside me, sharing my evident excitement. You know when you’re living a moment and already feel you’re going to miss it?
I gazed down to the cabin, memories from my childhood of fresh waffles and afternoons spent picking berries in the woods flooded my mind. As the lights streamed overhead, I realized I had to do everything I could to make this home a part of my future.
