Description
AWAKENING is a multi-format piece that emerged from a painting done in oil on canvas in 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic. The original work measures 100x80 cm. Some time later, the idea of seeing and reinforcing the concept of the work through animation arose, which was made with the stop motion technique (or frame-by-frame drawing) in digital format, giving life to the awakening character. Conceptually, it has to do with the awakening in many aspects generated by the health conflict that we experienced between 2020 and 2022. The piece was created entirely by the artist (painting, animation and sound) in 2023.
DESPERTAR es una pieza multiformato que surgió de una pintura realizada en óleo sobre tela en el año 2020, en plena pandemia global. La obra original mide 100x80 cm. Tiempo después surgió la idea de ver y reforzar el concepto de la obra a través de la animación, que fue realizada con la técnica de stop motion (o dibujo cuadro a cuadro) en formato digital, dandole vida al personaje que despierta. Conceptualmente tiene que ver con el despertar en muchos aspectos que generó el conflicto sanitario que atravesamos entre 2020 y 2022. La pieza fue creada íntegramente por el artista (pintura, animación y sonorización) en el 2023.
