This piece is inspired by the beauty in contrasts. The elaborate silhouettes that make up Nigerian fashion, and classic and timeless elements from Western fashion come together to create this look. Each detail tells a tale of the culture it is inspired by. A dance, a story, youth, love. Like a flower patiently waiting, ready to bloom… Created and rendered using Clo3D, this look consists of an underwire jeweled top with layered flared sleeves and a peplum skirt inspired by dancers from the Niger Delta. The romantic silhouette features shapes resembling flowers in full bloom, symbolic of the birth of a collection celebrating my rich cultural heritage, and the genesis of my eponymous brand, Jane Omukoro.
