Featuring 40 unique one-of-one pieces, this collection builds upon Chae’s extensive medieval series, blending in-house production, painterly techniques, and Stable Diffusion to craft layered compositions that defy tidy interpretation. Like concepts reflected in a cracked mirror, these works embrace imperfection and reinterpretation, allowing color, texture, and fragmented narratives to form unexpected connections between real artists and their artworks’ intentions. Nevertheless, a man does emerge—a spirit guide of sorts—to lead you through this fever dream of conflicting styles and imagined realities.
